Terms and conditions

By booking a session with YOU: HEALING, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. These Terms

1.1 These are the terms and conditions on which I supply product(s) and/or services to you.
1.2 Please read these terms carefully before you commit to the therapeutic process. These terms tell you who I am, how I will provide product(s) and/or services to you, how you and I may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information regarding payments and cancellation policies.

2. Information About Us and How to Contact Us

2.1 We are YOU: HEALING, a sole trader/practitioner established in England and Wales.
2.2 You can contact me by telephoning 07702559990 or by writing to me at anniet@youhealing.co.uk
2.3 If I need to contact you, I will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to me when you initially sent me your details.
2.4 When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.

3. My Services:

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy Sessions: I offer clinical hypnotherapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of issues, including but not limited to stress, anxiety, phobias, pain, depression, and more. Each session is tailored to meet the individual needs of the client.

  • Length of Sessions: Main sessions typically last 90 minutes, depending on the nature of the issue being addressed.

  • Initial Consultation: The first 90-minute session may include an assessment to discuss your goals, personal history, and the most effective hypnotherapy techniques for your needs.

  • Confidentiality: All client information and session details are confidential and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with the express consent of the client.

  • No Medical Claims: I am a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, but I do not provide medical diagnoses or claim to cure physical or mental illnesses. If you are dealing with a serious medical or psychological condition, I will discuss such conditions with you and recommend seeking the advice of a relevant licensed healthcare professional.

  • Results May Vary: While hypnotherapy has been proven to help many people, individual results may vary. I do not offer guarantees of success, and outcomes depend on the client's commitment to the process.

  • Tailored Approach: The description of the services on my website and any other promotional material is to provide as thorough a description as possible without the details of your specific requirements during our sessions. In sessions, our therapeutic journey will be tailored to your needs and what’s best for you throughout rather than following a generic blueprint. This approach may vary and be amended as the sessions progress.

4. Acceptance of Services & Refund Policy:

  • If I am unable to accept your request for services in the initial stages, I will inform you of this and will not charge you for the services booked.

  • In some instances, if circumstances should change in the middle of a therapeutic plan, I may refund you the remainder of the session costs. This might occur if contraindications arise that prevent me from providing you with my services safely or if continuing the therapy could risk or exaggerate certain conditions.

  • Alternatively, if unexpected limits on my resources or room rental arise (which could not reasonably have been planned for), I will provide a refund as necessary.

5. Client Responsibilities & Collaboration in Therapy:

  • Collaborative Nature of Therapy: I understand that I am about to take part in therapy that is collaborative in nature. That the success I derive from such will depend on my efforts too. By signing this document, I acknowledge my responsibility to do the homework/tasks that are set in each session, and I am aware that by playing an active role in this process, I significantly heighten my chances of satisfaction and long-lasting change.

  • Therapist’s Responsibility: It is my therapist’s responsibility to explain and inform me of the potential risks and benefits throughout the process of therapy and to gain informed consent when needed as and when it is required with certain techniques.

  • Confidentiality: I understand confidentiality is of the highest importance to my therapist, and that they will be guided by UK law in how my information is gathered, stored, shared, and discarded. I can access any gathered information throughout my therapy and for a specific amount of time afterwards.

  • Sharing Information: My information may, on occasion, be shared with a third-party supervisor in relation to my therapist’s ongoing professional development. However, my identity will be concealed in these instances.

  • Duty of Care & Safety: I understand that my therapist has a duty of care and an interest in safety for all involved. My information may be shared if my therapist deems me or another to be in danger, or if my information is requested by a court of law. In any circumstance such as this, my therapist will endeavour to inform me beforehand and discuss why this has become a necessary route of action. For the in-depth version of confidentiality refer to Confidentiality and Safeguarding Notice.

  • Permission to Contact Health Professionals: There may be instances where my therapist may ask permission to speak to my doctor or any other health professional involved to make sure hypnotherapy is supported by other medical professionals and to be guided by their better judgement with certain conditions or scenarios.

  • Honesty, Trust, and Respect: Honesty, trust, and respect are responsibilities of both therapist and client during treatment and are at the core of our therapeutic journey together. I understand that this is a safe space where I can speak openly without judgment, and honest, genuine feedback is always welcome in the interest of improving the hypnotherapy process.

  • Accuracy of Information: All information provided at the time of assessment is true and correct. I will inform my therapist of any changes in my mental or physical health so that they can make an informed decision on whether hypnotherapy and the current treatment plan are still the right course of action. This ensures that my therapist is working within their sphere of competence throughout our journey together.

  • Disclosure of Health Conditions: I understand that by taking part in hypnosis without notifying my therapist about any conditions that could contraindicate me as a participant (such as psychiatric conditions or addictions), I could place emphasis on these conditions and unnecessarily exacerbate them.

  • Responsibility for Health Concerns: I acknowledge that Anna-Marie Trudgeon (You: Healing) holds no responsibility for any adverse effects should I fail to inform her of any relevant health concerns before starting the process of hypnosis.
